Which martial art is right for your kid?
Most Boise parents start with kids jiu-jitsu because there’s no striking — it’s the martial art parents consistently tell us they’re most comfortable with. Kids who love movement and energy often thrive in Muay Thai. The fastest way to know is to come in: your child’s first lesson is a free private intro with a coach, and we’ll point you to the right program together — no pressure either way.
Ages, classes & safety
We welcome kids ages 4 and up, grouped by age and ability so your child is challenged at the right level and never lost in the crowd. We run Lil’ Kids and Kids groupings so the 4-year-olds and the 10-year-olds each get what they need. Kids classes run six days a week at our Boise Academy — see the full live schedule at egleytrain.com/schedule.
Your kids coaches
Our kids programs are led by Coach Michael Egley (CEO & Head Coach) alongside Coach Emily Norris and Coach Peyton Greetis — instructors who specialize in teaching young students with patience, structure, and a whole lot of fun. Meet them on the kids jiu-jitsu page or at your child’s free intro lesson.
Getting started
